ABOUT ME

Welcome!

ABOUT ME

I’m Tanner, a personal trainer and nutrition coach with a passion for helping others achieve goals they once thought were out of reach. I’m just an everyday person who began my fitness journey as a total beginner—lacking confidence, struggling with self-esteem, and standing exactly where many of you may be now.

MY BACKGROUND

Believe it or not, the personal trainers that you see weren’t born with good physiques! We all are beginners at the start, and many of us were in the same spot that you might be in right now.

Growing up, I was smaller and on the skinnier side (nothing wrong with that), but it did lead to some self confidence issues down the road.

At 17, I started to struggle with confidence and being self-conscious about my size compared to my peers. While many of my friends had been lifting weights since middle school, I hadn’t ever stepped foot into a weight room.

The summer after my junior year, I decided to make a change. My brother worked at a local gym and let me tag along with him and his workout partner, essentially taking me under their wing.

That summer was the start of my obsession and the rest is history!

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME

  • I was a firefighter/paramedic for 4 years!
I quit without any plan (yes, smart I know) and started personal training with no expectation of it growing to what it is now.
  • I play the drums
I started at around 8 or 9 years old. I quit playing in middle school for some reason and just started picking it back up again this past year.
  • I'm a very picky eater
My whole life I have never liked cheese and refuse to eat it, UNLESS it's on pizza and it's not a crazy amount and is the right color. I also have never had milk in my cereal.
  • Gym Playlist
Half of the time I have worship music playing in my headphones in the gym, and the other half of the time there is nothing playing! I keep them on regardless to try and avoid excess talking. I do this not to be rude, but because it truly does help me stay focused!
